V-grooved wheels and flanged track wheels.
Running V-Grooved wheels on inverted angle iron track is a popular and low-cost method of taking loads off the floor and creating production-line flow. A relief groove in the "V" assures proper weight distribution and makes wheel and track "self-cleaning", while a partial flat-tread permits rolling the wheels directly on floors as well.

This dual wheel series version of the Maxi-Duty caster addresses the problem of how to restrict overall height while at the same time provide adequate carrying capacity on resilient tread wheels. The swivel casters are made of a heavy-gauge steel top plate attached to a full-drawn steel horn with integral, hardened raceways. The load bearings consist of two full, independent rows of hardened, polished ball bearings that roll freely in large diameter, lubricated raceways. The fully annealed kingpin holds the raceway precisely in alignment. The wheel bearings are plain, self-lubricating sealed ball bearings and precision bearings. Corrosion-resistant zinc finish. |
